Miss Conduct

I bought this color at Sally's yesterday. It's Orly- Miss Conduct. I absolutely love it!! It's such a gorgeous color and super sparkly. The formula was amazing too, it's not gritty at all. I added the accent with Konad Special White and BM-311. My stamp didn't transfer so great, but I really like the ampersands. I have one tattooed on my ankle :)

A blurry picture to show the sparkle...isn't it amazing!?!

Counting down the days to Christmas!

I started this mani with 2 coats of Color Club- Berry and Bright. I absolutely LOVE this color!! The pictures just don't do it justice. It's so shimmery and gorgeous. And it smells wonderful! My girls love it because not only is it really pretty, but it smells like berries.

I stamped the numbers with Konad Special White and BM-311. And topped it with one coat of NYC.

I really like how it turned out :)

Hibiscus flowers

This one started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors- Easy Going, it's a very soft pink, super pretty. Then I added one coat of Sinful Colors- Glass Pink, I LOVE this color! It's a gorgeous pink shimmer. It's really subtle, but really pretty. Then one coat of NYC and BM-318 and Avon Mirror Shine-Blaze for the hibiscus flowers. I liked the pink so much I couldn't bare to stamp them all, so I just did an accent nail.

Pink&Matte

Maybe one day I'll come up with some fun, creative titles...but that's not today.
I started with one coat of LA Colors- Energy Source as underwear. Then added 2 coats of NYC- Pink Polyester Creme, and one coat of NYC. I used BM-301 and Konad Special White to do the stamp. I topped it with one coat of NYC and then one coat of NYC- Matte me Crazy Mattifying top coat. I LOVE how it turned out!

I was taking pictures of my nails and my 3-year-old insisted that I take a picture of her naked nails. So here are hers... :)

The best part, besides it turning out like I'd hoped, was how long it lasted! I did this on a Thursday night, and by Sunday, it was still perfect. I couldn't believe it! It wasn't until I deep cleaned 2 bathrooms, did the dishes, and swept and mopped the kitchen that I ended up with 2 chips. It was pretty amazing.

Starry glitter

This one didn't take much work. I just didn't want to have naked nails, so I did this while my daughter was sleeping. It's 2 coats of Wet 'n' Wild- Denim Chrome and one coat of LA Colors- Sparkling Diamonds. All topped with one coat of NYC.

I wish I had been more careful to not get it on my cuticles...it drives me crazy!

Glitter triangles

I wanted to do something quick and simple. I started with 3 coats of LA Colors- Energy Source. Then one coat of NYC. After that dried, I used Scotch tape to tape off my triangles. Then did 2 coats of LA Colors- Treasure Island. I made sure to peel the tape off carefully before the polish dried. then did 2 coats of NYC. I love how they turned out, except I realize now with a couple dots, they could be Christmas trees! I'll have to remember that for next month!

Day 23: Inspired by a movie

I was really struggling with this challenge. Nothing was inspiring me, I couldn't come up with anything. So I started flipping through stamping plates, I saw the butterflies and thought of The Butterfly Effect. So that's what we're going with.
I started with one coat of LA Colors-Energy Source as underwear. Then 2 coats of NYC- Polyester Pink Creme, and one coat of NYC. Them stamped the butterflies with LA Colors- Power Outage and BM-307. I used a dotting tool and LA Colors- Energy Source for the white dots, then topped it with one coat of NYC.
I think it turned out pretty. My right hand was a disaster though! For some odd reason, my stamp wasn't transferring to my nails very well. The plate was getting sticky almost. It was weird. Anyway, at least my left hand turned out alright!

Halloween nails!

For this look I started with 2 coats of LA Colors- Energy Source. Then I sponged on Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear- Mellow Yellow. It didn't end up much of a gradient that I was going for. I added the orange dots with my dotting tool and Petites- Passion Orange. Kind of candy corn-ish. Then I added the haunted house with Konad Special Black and BM-305. Topped it with one coat of NYC. I didn't totally love the end result, but it wasn't horrible.

Gradient Faux Marble

I started this look with 2 coats of Wet 'n' Wild- Shameless. Then I sponged the gradient with Shameless and Essie- Smooth Sailing. I topped that with a coat of NYC fast dry top coat. Then I stamped the marbled design with my Bundle Monster plates and Wet 'n' Wild- Denim Chrome. I added Jordana- Crystal Ocean for a little sparkle, then another coat of NYC. I loved how this one turned out!

Mermaids and diamonds

My stepdaughter and I went to the Dollar Tree the other day, we were browsing the nail polish and found so many great colors! I'm loving the LA Colors Color Craze polishes! We ended up getting 7 or 8 different colors, and for only $1, we didn't break the bank! This pretty blue is called Sea Siren. It has a gorgeous gold shimmer to it that you can't really see in the picture, but it reminds me of a mermaid tail. The accent finger is LA Color- Sparkling Diamonds. That's just what it reminds me of too, it's so sparkly. I love it.

Lightning!

I wanted to see how the metallic purple would look over dark purple. So I did this fun lightning stamping. I did some glitter on one nail to see if I liked it. Turns out, I didn't.

Delicate stamping

I ended up trimming all my nails down, like I said, I can't stand when one breaks and the rest are long. But I couldn't leave them naked. So I started with 3 coats of Essie- Turquoise and Caicos, then stamped this pretty design on top. My husband actually picked out this design. I think he did good :)

Day 22: Inspired by a song

It was an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini!
I had a hard time finding inspiration for this one...then I thought of that song and did a quite literal interpretation. I think it turned out pretty cute! A corner of my index nail broke off :( So I'll probably be cutting them short again...it drives me crazy! I tried something new today and used a matte top coat, I love it! It completely changes the whole look!

Houndstooth

I've seen a few houndstooth manis on Pinterest and I love them. So I decided to do one of my own. One of my stamping plates has the design, and I think it turned out pretty cute!

Black Rays

This one turned out a lot different than I had planned. I started with a dark gray base which I really loved. Then I did one coat of Orly-Winter Wonderland, that made it look silver. I wish I would have stuck with the gray. Then I stamped the design with Konad Special Black. My cuticles are a bit messy, but it turned out alright. Right after I finished, I dinged my thumb, so I'm ready to change my nails already.

This was my favorite nail. I think the stamping turned out great on it.

Gradient and dots take 2

I loved the last gradient/dot mani that I did, I decided to do it again in the different color! I love it just as much as the pink one! This is probably a style I'll do in a bunch of different colors. It's so versatile!

Day 21: Inspired by a color

I knew I wanted to do pink for my color inspiration. So I started browsing Pinterest trying to get an idea of what to do with it. I saw this look from Oooh, Shinies!. My attempt wasn't quite as cute as hers, but I like how it turned out.

A quick crackle

I read somewhere that if you apply a crackly polish horizontally, it would look like zebra stripes. So I tried it, and I don't think it looks like zebra at all. It's still cool though. Then I added a heart with a dotting tool to make it a little girly.

Gradient and dots

I also saw this look on Pinterest. It's originally from Polish Art Addiction. I thought it was so cute! So I recreated it to wear for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. It was Minnie Mouse themed, and she loves polka dots. Or "polka nots" as she calls them.

Day 20: Water marble

Ever since I discovered nail blogs, I've been wanting to try a water marble. I've been putting it off because it seemed so hard. It took this challenge to make me actually attempt it. Well...it was hard! It took about 2 1/2 hours, a lot of messed up nails, a whole pile of q-tips...it was a mess. The end result wasn't the best, but I'd say it wasn't terrible for my first try. I'd definitely like to try this again...just maybe not anytime soon :)

Breast Cancer Awareness!

I got this idea from A Girl and Her Polish. She did blue ribbons, but I have the same stamping plate, so I did pink ribbons. I know a lot of people who have been affected by breast cancer, and October is breast cancer awareness month, so I was excited to do this one. I really love how it turned out.

Day 19: Galaxies

This one was really cool. I've seen a lot of different variations of the galaxies and they're all so pretty. I started with a black base, then sponged on some blue, purple, pink, yellow, and white. Then I added the white dots for some stars, a coat of glitter and called it good!

Fall mani

I love this pretty burgandy. I stamped on a leaf and it's a perfect fall look!

Day 18: Half moons

I thought these colors were really pretty together. I started with a white base, then used hole protectors for the half moon and painted the rest turquoise. Then I used a dotting tool to add the silver dots to soften the line.

Day 17: Glitter

For this challenge, I went with a glitter tip. I love how glitter polishes look, but I don't use them too often because I hate trying to remove them!

Day 16: Tribal print

This is one of the other new polishes I bought. I had a hard time coming up with a design for this challenge. I went with this one because it kind of reminds me of a tribal tattoo. It's not my favorite, but it fulfills the challenge.
