A Little Birthday Look

Last week, my sweet little baby girl turned one! Isn't she just the cutest?!?

Naturally, I had to have great nails for her party, so this is what I came up with.

I started with one coat of Sinful Colors- Easy Going, then I sponged KleanColor- Holo Pink on all but the accent nail. For the dots, I used Orly- Miss Conduct, and Sinful Colors- Snow Me White. On the accent nail, I stamped with BM-307 and Avon Mirror Shine- Blaze. Then added some dots with the same colors and Pure Ice- Five Some. Topped it all with 2 coats of Out the Door, and we have a perfect look for a little girl's party!

New 31 Day Challenge Day 8: Duo Chrome, Flakie, or Holo

I know I missed the challenge for day 7...I'm hoping to get caught up on that. It's been a super busy week, my baby girl turned one, and I've had appointments to get ready for Lasik this week!

This look started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors- Easy Going, followed by 2 coats of KleanColor- Holo Pink. I really loved this glitter! This is the first time I've used it and it's amazing. I love the way it sparkles in the sun, it's hard not to stare at :)

New 31 Day Challenge Day 6: Favorite Color Family

Oops! I'm a day late posting this! It's been a busy week so far and I completely forgot to post this yesterday, so here it is!
The challenge for day 6 is favorite color family. Of course, I went with pinks. I have a feeling this challenge is going to have a lot of pink in it...
I started with one coat of Sinful Colors- East Going as undies. Then 2 coats of NYC- Polyester Pink Creme. Topped with one coat of Out the Door to speed up dry time. I stamped the flowers with BM-205 and Avon Mirror Shine- Blaze. It seemed like it was still missing something, so I took LA Colors- Sparkling Diamonds and fished out the big glitter bits with a dotting tool and added them to the center of some flowers. Topped it all with two coats of Out the Door to lock in those glitters :)
I like this one :)

New 31 Day Challenge Day 5: Purple

For this look, I started with 2 coats of Nina- Lilac-ing Discipline. Then I used a Nail Ritz pen in Deep Purple for the outline of the leopard spots. I was going to leave it at that, (and should have taken a picture) but decided it needed more. So I went back with Nail Ritz in White and filled in some spots. I like how it turned out, but then I was impatient and top coated too early and smeared it :(  It looked really cute in person though!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's day everyone! I hope your day is full of love :)

For this look, I started with one coat of Sinful Colors- Easy Going. Then I used a makeup sponge for the gradient with Easy Going, NYC- Polyester Pink Creme, and NYC- Love Me Red Creme. I love how it turned out! One of my better gradients so far.

I topped that with one coat of Out the Door to speed up dry time for stamping. Then I used Sinful Colors- Snow Me White and BM-311 for the love letter. It was the perfect stamp for the look I wanted! It was delicate and didn't cover up the beautiful gradient too much.

Hope you all love this look as much as I do!

New 31 Day Challenge Day 4: Pink

Pink is absolutely my favorite color! I have so many pink polishes. I usually do bright pinks, I wanted to do something very subtle. So I used the lightest pink that I have, Sinful Colors- Easy Going. I topped that with one coat of Sinful Colors- Glass Pink. It adds just a little sparkle that I really love. Then I stamped the zebra with BM-223 and Sinful Colors- Snow Me White, and one coat of Out the Door.

I really love how this one turned out. It's so subtle and pretty!

New 31 Day Challenge Day 3: Gold

Day 3 is gold. This is a tough one for me. I'm not a huge fan of gold. I don't wear gold jewelry, I much prefer silver or white gold. I have 2 gold glitters that I almost never use, and I have this polish that came in a set. The Disney Villains Collection. This is Queen of Hearts. Let me tell you....I really hate this color. It's almost a coppery-goldish color that I think looks terrible with my skin tone. It has gold micro glitter in it too. Oh well, day 3 down, hopefully the next one goes better!

February SquareHue Box

My wonderful husband signed me up for SquareHue for Christmas. SquareHue is a monthly subscription box, you get 3 full bottles of polish each month. This is the first one I received. It's the February Vintage Love Collection.

They come in a cute little box and I love the adorable square bottles.

This month's colors are High School Crush, Wartime Romance, and Dear John.

High School Crush is a light peachy-pink. It's a really pretty color, but I don't love it with my skin tone. The formula was a little sheer, this photo is 4 coats, no top coat.

Wartime Romance is kind of a raspberry pinkish red. I really liked this color. I used 3 coats for this photo, no top coat.

Dear John is sort of black, with a red flash to it. It's really pretty, I had to use the flash to try and capture the red in it. This photo is 3 coats, no top coat. My 3-year-old calls this color "chocolate" :)

New 31 Day Challenge Day 2- Silver

Day 2 for the challenge is silver. I went to Sally's the other day and picked up a couple of Orly minis on clearance. This is one of them. It's Orly-Dazzle. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Superbowl!

Let me begin by saying, I have zero interest in football :) I enjoy the Superbowl for the commercials and the snacks. However, my husband is a big 49er's fan. So I decided I might as well root for his team.

For the footballs, I did 2 coats of Essie- Little Brown Dress, added dots with Sinful Colors- Nirvana, then did the stripes with my white Nail Ritz pen, and topped it with NYC- Matte Me Crazy. For the accent, I did 2 coats of Color Club- Berry and Bright, one coat of e.l.f.- Gold Star, added the SF with the Nail Ritz pen, and one coat of Out the Door.

They didn't win, but at least my nails looked good!

New 31DC Day 1: Black & White

I'm going to try to do the Crumpet's Laid-back 31 Day Challenge. I'm really excited to try this! I tried to do the regular 31DC, but I was doing it alone, and never did finish it. I'm hoping I'll be able to get though this one.

The first day is black and white. I'm also a member of the Adventures in Stamping Facebook page. The challenge for this Sunday is your profession. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I was having trouble coming up with something. I also have an Etsy shop where I sell bows, so that's what I decided to go with. Because I have 3 girls, I make a lot of bows :) So this mani is kind of a two-fer.

I started with 3 coats of Essie-Marshmallow. Then stamped the bows with BM-311 and Konad Special Black. And one coat of Out the Door.
